I’m glad to inform you about several new things in the hotel. Recently we have renewed our website. www.hans-brinker.com is the new portal, not only for my new blog, but we have made all our previous campaigns visible. You can see our first ever made campaign: a tram covered with what we don’t offer. Or have a look at the campaign where we said sorry after 40 years of dissapointing service. New to the website is our online shop, where you can buy our coffee mug, our book and posters.

At the end of the month we are celebrating Kingsday! Normally Holland was one big party during Queensday, but the 30th of April prince Willem-Alexander will be crowned as our new King. This will take place in Amsterdam, so it will be one crazy party in the city! No Queensday anymore, but Kingsday now! Same drunk orange party though…

2013: Highlights for Amsterdam and for Hans Brinker

This year is unique for Amsterdam: 400th birthday of the canals, the re-opening of the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum and many more. But come on, Amsterdam is always unique. In the middle of this unique city is my unique hotel located: Hans Brinker. 2013 is a unique year for Hans Brinker as well…we have got a soccer table nowadays next to the bar. You can enjoy the Happy Hour whilst playing a game of soccer. Not that sporty? Enjoy a nice game of soccer on our large tv then…

Another reason why this is a great year for Hans Brinker is our new china: the Hans Brinker coffee mug. My morning coffee tastes so much better now!

But enough about Hans Brinker…back to the city: even though it’s a bit cold in Amsterdam, there is so much to do! Last night I joined a pubcrawl: I’ve seen many bars and clubs with vodka shots everywhere (my morning coffee is more necessary than normal)! Guys, you have to join when visiting Amsterdam, it’s fantastic!
